About Lesley Cook
Lesley Cook is an experienced psychotherapist working with individuals of all ages and has been in private practice and part of the fabric of The Awareness Centre in Tooting and Clapham, Southwest London since 2011. She is a member of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and works in accordance with their ethical guidelines for good practice.
Lesley trained as an integrative therapist, pulling together threads of therapeutic modalities and holds a separate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a solution-focused approach.

Lesley tailors each session to meet individual needs of her clients and offers support to those experiencing anxiety related to family relationships, including:
· Grief and loss, recognising that their impact cannot be measured by time passed
· The effects of alcohol use, addiction, and anger issues, and the significant influence these can have on family dynamics
Lesley also has a keen interest in applying principles of the 12-step model when working with addiction recovery and dysfunctional family systems, recognising how these challenges can affect day-to-day life. She offers a warm and open approach, providing clients with a safe and supportive space to explore their ‘stuckness’.
She is committed to helping clients build self-awareness and esteem, strength and creating lasting positive changes to their lives.
